We started our vacation at 8 pm on Wednesday, October 1st. We were planning to leave much earlier in the day, but Jeff's staff just wouldn't let him get away. We were both hoping that leaving that late at night would be better for Ethan and that he would sleep most of the way that evening, however, Ethan thinks that sleep is unnecessary and was good the whole time but stayed awake until we finally stopped for the night in Baker City at 12:30 am. The next morning (Thursday) we started out about 8 am and arrived in SLC, Utah at 3:30. That trip was not as pleasant. Ethan still wouldn't sleep and we were very glad to get out of the car.

Jeff's brother Brian was able get us tickets to the Utah vs. Oregon State game on Thursday night. GO UTES!!!! Jeff graduated from the U and it was really fun to be back at the stadium with the home team crowd. Utah won the game and most of the crowd ran onto the field. Aunt Lori was happy to watch Ethan for the evening while we went to the game.
