Where did it go...
WOW...January has flown by, at least for me. Tomorrow will be the end of the month and while I have been really busy, apparently any extra time there might have been was swallowed up. The first of the month started off with me getting a black eye, then a business license and taking on additional transcription work with a new company, saw pictures of our newest niece, Kiara, attended Nicole's baby shower for baby "O" that will arrive any day, my dad's 61st birthday, our 14th wedding anniversary, signed Ethan up for preschool, INR for my coumadin was too low for the month so I have had to take additional pills and have to go back again tomorrow to get it checked, my brother celebrated his 33rd birthday, started taking zumba again (YAY!), started retraining for 5K post foot surgery, celebrate Copper turning 4, and just dropped Jeff off at the airport to fly to Vegas for a business trip. Tonight, after putting Ethan to bed and running on the treadmill, I am going to be lazy, putting my feet up and watching some chick flicks that I never have time for.

It's official...
I now have a business license, doing business as K. Hadley Transcription. It has been a really busy week with putting everything in order and learning new things but I am looking forward to the challenge. I am also very thankful to have an independent little guy while I have been diligently working this week. Next week we are taking a preschool tour at New Beginnings and are hoping to start him in March for three mornings a week...that I am also looking forward to maybe even more than he is.

Could have done without...
a black, mostly pooled blood red, eye...from the dog. New Years Day late evening was nice and quiet at our house, we had dropped off Jeff's parents and sister at the airport earlier that afternoon to return home, Ethan was soundly sleeping in his bed for the night and we were lazily catching up on DVR. Jeff decided he would like a Coke so he drove down to McD's. He had been gone a while and Charlie was also very quiet, which usually means something bad, but I couldn't find him so I guessed that he must have gotten to take a ride with Jeff. A short time later he came trotting into the house with Jeff behind him, who tells me that he took Charlie with him and that he was loving his ride so much that on their way back home he jumped out the window of Jeff's car while he was stopped at a stop sign. Jeff eventually got him back in the car and continued home. After being home for a few minutes we noticed that there was blood on the couch, checked both dogs, and sure enough Charlie must have scrapped himself somehow. Charlie, who is always spastic, jumped up as I was getting up to get something to clean it with and somehow his head met mine.....DAMN that hurt. It knocked me around and I fell on my knees crying. This morning I woke up with this beauty.
It still hurts really bad and is swollen but mostly looks like a makeup job.
